Truly bad luck there Dan must be especially galling after relative success at Abingdon when you weren't really trying.
Great sessions from ES, TT, PP & SL. Do you use an incline on the TM SL?
More high mileage this week with 7, 2x10, 3, 2x7 so far this week. The 2x10 was my first run commute since moving jobs 15 months ago. Now planning to make them a regular thing like I did in 2014 when it was only 9 each way. Cycled it loads but was put off by the extra mile. Light day tomorrow then parkrun & a 2.3M fell race Saturday.
Good luck Padams & ES (hope the hip settles) & any others racing at the w/e.
Endurance build wk2 done. 70M for the week & a PB at yesterday's Elan Valley 10M. Felt good the whole way cause I paced it better: fractionally slower for the first 3M but kept the pace til the end & even overtook 2 guys with a mile to go + held off the guy I'd been battling all the way in the sprint finish which for me is almost unheard of
Impressive racing & training sessions going on. Congratulations to PP, MsPP, Padams & ES for their trophies.
Enjoyed the treadmill debate. Sorry CW preferred the Padams TM Equation as it's far simpler so applying Occam's Razor probably more accurate too.
Glad I decided to be patient & wait til spring for my next marathon attempt as the weather last weekend was poor & I was poorlier. Guts this time.
Gone back to endurance building. Managed 65M last week without a Sunday LR as Saturday's XC destroyed me due to the aforementioned guts. I've done 40 so far this week. Got a 10M road race this Saturday in the hills of mid-Wales so it'll be a very light day tomorrow.
Great racing from Padams & particularly AlanB given the lung situation.
I had PF on L from September last year through to about April. So bad I got referred to a podiatrist & had orthotics made which basically amount to a wedge heel inside the trainer with arch support so I can see why high heels might help. By the time I got them it had cleared up but was starting on R! I wear them to walk around but TBH I find them too clunky to run in properly as I like to feel the ground. Did my last HM track session in them but got a blister so ditched the orthotics for Abo & not had any problems since.
