I'm going to do it in a 4 man team. Reckon that's about two laps each. Pub is lovely, by the way. Bring on the styles!

Did this one last year and can recommend it. Fairly flat up to around 6K. Then a longish, steady hill followed by a very fast descent. A short sharp hill at 8K and then a nice flat run in to the finish through the hospital grounds. Really enjoyed it and a nice, friendly atmosphere. See you all in June!

BTW- one of the best mementoes I ever had was a logo'd gym towel from the Ropsley Raid. Race Tshirts are not usually big enough for my ample cake fuelled frame!

Just been for a run round the new course. On the negative side, there are some very long and dull straights. I reckon you can probably see people up to two miles ahead of you along the MARR going towards Kings Mill. However, on the positive side, the hills aren't too nasty. Worst for me was up Coxmoor Road towards the observatory and that didn't last long. All the rest were long and gradual. I liked the hammer head where you go through the tunnel at Sutton Res, but not keen on the double back along Caldwell Road- think it may be a bit dispiriting on race day.

I'm in! Very windy on the "outward" stretch last year, but I recovered after the hill and had a fast (for me!) finish. Really enjoyed having a pint of Guinness in the clubhouse afterwards.
