It is a dull run through the suburbs and the drop pavements are a nuisance, that said it is well organised, with good parking and there are no major climbs, if you are knocking out 1:51 for a half it is around a 2:55 course.
Well it all goes to show just what a great job all the following clubs have done charging considerably less during the past few months whilst I've been training for Vienna....
So thank you to all the members of and the volunteers involved with Hadleigh Harriers, St Albans Striders, Watford Harriers, Great Bentley, Gade Valley, Berkhamsted Round Table, St Edmunds Pacers, MABAC and Croydon Striders you all made it look effortless, which clearly is beyond others.
Did you send out an email on the change of date? When I found out the date was changed to 25 March I just updated my diary and thought nothing more of it.
I just logged on to check final instructions for tomorrow and see that you ran it last week... close shave that I'd have been fuming had I turned up tomorrow none the wiser.
Looks like I'll have to drive over to Gade Valley Harriers and tag on to their 20 mile training run it isn't ideal but better than nothing... might be worth leaving a note down on the village hall door though Pab just in case any one else missed the change of change of date.
