Carter I'd stick to the plan. Only time I would say dont is if you don't feel up to that session. If you went further then injured yourself you would probably kick yourself.

Next up could be another pop at sub 18 @ Hillsborough parkrun on Saturday but need to palm 14month old off on someone so don't think I will be able to. Looking at brinsworth 10k on 1st july. Another flat 10k to try for sub 37min.

The conditions were good. The wind was enough to affect your pace but only a little (5sec per mile?) But some people were making out it was hurricane katrina. I thought it was ok tbh.  I was definitely helped in the first mile by being able to draft behind people but from mile 2 the field was too spread out around me. I wanted to go for it from the off and then hover around 6.00 min pace effort which I pretty much did.

Edit #the one review on here calls it a 'firm breeze' I'd agree with that

Taper madness really kicked in I see.  you can you will

Ha ha, setting the garmin virtual partner pace just 1sec faster meant he would run 36.56. If I ran 36.59 he would still beat me. I like to beat the virtual partner.

Yes he beat me this time
