This is a great 2 loop trail starting and finishing from Springview Football Club and one I will definitely put in the calendar again next year.  Really well organised and plenty of participants in really good fancy dress costumes - the rain kept off although plenty of water and mud made a great mix to plough through as you wove your way through a great trail offering spooky relics and dubious characters lurking in the woods (Freddy Kruegar on your tail certainly made one run faster!!).  It was a really surreal sight to see so many runners draped in capes and donning masks; and it made for a fantastic mornings run.  Well done to the organisers, marshalls and community who were all involved in making this a great event ... pie and peas at the end for all finishers was genius and greatly appreciated!!  Yum!  Bring on next year!

Matt

There's a short article in Augusts' RW about doubling up and running twice a day, Page 20 - not sure if you've already seen it.

Apparently running twice a day can improve your cardiovascular fitness, but in respect of your original thought as to whether it carries the same benefit of running 10 miles continuously ... like LB, I wouldn't think so, but that is just my thought ...

Boothy,

Sorry to hear about the knee, hopefully might cu 2moz, will be travelling down with a club mate and joining up with another two at the start - good luck to everyone taking part.  This will be my first half, really looking forward to it.

HeatherS,

Same here, 2nd year around - also running my first half in March (Liverpool).  Fingers crossed we've seen the last of the snow & ice so that I can actually start training for them!!!

I'm in - yeah

Did this last year, thoroughly enjoyed it - great event, course & atmosphere.  Did not even realise until I saw the thread that this had opened (despite setting reminder with GR website!)  So thanks for the thread Gower!!
