I had a tough day yesterday - started work at 8am & didnt get home from a late meeting in Cardiff until 11pm. Relaxtion time after today!!
NR - quite right! Rest is important too. But well done all for the excellent training. Food sounds nice.
I'm back running up to 4 miles now, so doing that most days this week. Calves & shins are now only problemmatic on hills or running fast, so the answer seems to be to avoid both of those for some time.
Right, today's my last day checking the internet for 2 weeks, so hope you all have a really good Easter & a good few weeks of training. My trainers & compression socks are both packed for Spain.
Morning all. Sounds like you all had an excellent, busy weekend
JD - well done. Excellent running as always. Super time for London considering it was a steady run for you Hope you have a nice relaxing day today & enjoy the Easter break.
NR - that's great news. Well done. What did you think of Byrngarw? We went there a few weeks ago. Well done for the training.
Griff - hope heel is better & you enjoyed (watching?) VLM.
Well busy weekend in the Grey household - work, chores, DIY, shopping, gardening, some DIY plumbing (had my hand down a sink!)
Marshalled the Llanello marathon yesterday. 5 hours in the sun & wind - face is like a tomato today! Small field. Eammon Kirk from Swansea Harriers ran well and finished in 2nd place Supported some runners from SH, TROTS, Port Talbot (Barnsley Bomber ran a very good first half and finished the marathon despite being in a lot of pain with blisters) and 3M's. After 5 hours on my feet we went for a longish walk & I ran 15 mins on grass.
Calves/shins still not right here but stretching is helping. Had bad cramp yesterday but am putting it down to not being hydrated enough.....
