A great race, pretty flat and well organised. Great shirts this year too! Really enjoyed this event - certainly helped run off all of those minces pies
Also want to mention Bryan Dale and thanks him for the fabulous (free) event photos he provides for this and many other events. You can check for your photo at his site: http://www.racephotos.org.uk/. I have 3 great photos which he snapped, which have provided a valued memento of the event.
I downloaded the training plan from RW for the marathon to put on to my Garmin 405.
I got it on OK, and when I was ready for my run this morning, sure enough, the run scheduled for today was there OK. I scrolled (well, tapped) to it from the Time/Date display and started the workout.
I started the scheduled run OK, but I noticed that the summary that the Garmin displayed, as I ran, showed my pace, but not the cumulative distance. As I was doing an out and back course, it was important for me to know when to turn around.
I couldn't figure out a way to change the displayed summary, so I went to the Training display of the 405. It showed my current distance and pace fine.
When I tried to go back to the scheduled workout (from the Time/Date display), it no longer showed the workout in progress, but showed the same workout being scheduled again for today (prompting me to start the workout).
I toggled back to the Training display and finished the run using that, but I wasn't being prompted to run in the correct training zones.
Anyone any tips on the best way to monitor the cumulative distance when doing a scheduled workout or where I went wrong trying to flip between the Training and workout displays?
