i had pneumonia 2 years ago although not as serious as yours sounded. I would say that you will definitely improve as you continue to run, you've not only had a serious illness but you haven't run for a while So your breathing is going to be affected.
I remember after I got back running that my breathing was definitely more wheezy. I ran a marathon this year will no problems at all! Just take it really steady it's still early dats, pneumonia is a nasty illness I've never felt so ill in all my life & felt that you will never be the same again But you will be.
Eat, rest & sleep well your, running & breathing will get better - promise!
I would highly recommend 'compressport UR2 ultra race & recovery calf guards"
In the past Ive suffered with reacurring calf strains but since wearing these my calfs have been fine. I wear them on every run & after & even to bed after a hard session, not an attractive look, but great for recovery!
Am running london (hopefully) last year i had to defer due to picking up an injury with 3 weeks to go. Am really struggling mentally, ive trained really hard, but every tiny niggle im thinking the worse or if i manage to even get to london i think im going to get ill the night before.
I'm desperate to get to the start & finish but just feel on the edge!
