| I read allen carr book, stopped straight away afterwards. I wanted to though, and in like three days i felt noticably better. In a month having washed everything i owned nothing smelt of smoke. and let mew tell you, once you give up smoking you smell it ewverywhere, i can smell smokers from 100yds away. Every now and again I want a fag but the feeling passes quickly, like its a brief thought "ooh i'd love a fag" and then i totally forget i thought it. Plus i yawn so much less, its weird. Anyway you want to run you gotta quit, can't do both, that would be pointless. Good luck |

Hi, Brentwood is going to be my first half-marathon, am really nervous. Not sure where brentwood is yet! I gave up smoking cold turkey at the beginning of october (pack a day for a decade, give or take) and started going for jogs. Started training seriously on the 24th of Jan and have since clocked 85 miles in training (i made a spreadsheet, dead sad i know). I have entered a couple of other races post brentwood because i am desperate for some reason to crack 2 hours! Good luck if your running for the first time too. |
