i ran my first marathon on Sunday. The event was better than I expected, but due to hip flexor issues not as fast as I had originally been aiming for. 5hrs 52seconds. I followed a training plan on my asics, pretty religiously for me!
the only thing I wasn't expecting was the need to throw up just before mile 25. Carried on running to the end afterwards. Too much water/electrolyte fluid/gels with caffeine I think.
my main concern is every time I have eaten since I have felt neausius. Then I made the mistake of having a curry for dinner last night. My digestive system just isn't working properly and the curry has tipped it over the edge.
Has anyone had anything similar? What can I do to help? Everything I eat makes me feel sick, leads to pinching stomach, gurgling and gas and horrible burps. I also made the mistake of having a full fat coke just to get some sugary carbs in!
