don't suppose anyone has an accurate distance for Saturday (or even a map?)...like to keep Runkeeper up to date so have guestimated 11miles and drawn 11 miles worth of squiggles on a map of Delamere for now.
popped my trail\off-road cherry on this......incredible stuff. A proper toughie, but a brilliant laugh.
I ache like no ones business still, and my nails still aren't clean.
Henstooth...hats of to you for the mankini. v impressed.
Hello...had a very quick trawl through the posts any nothing jumped out but, does anyone know if there will be any pacers for the marathon? It's a query from my friend who's aiming for sub-4 on his first marathon and he's assumed that all marathons have pacers!?
i on the other hand am in the UTB boat....calf knack has seen me laid up for 3 weeks (was up to 14m at the time). test run\walk this evening will determine if i've any chance of making the start
*Oh yes, i'm a Manchester chap, so would be happy to pick up racepacks if required and meet Sunday morning.
right...anyone out there weighing over 16stone, only able to get out for 3 runs a week and just hoping for a sub-5?
I've had a delayed start to my plan due to calf problems picked up following Macc Half...only up to 8 miles LSR at the mo, but all seems tickety-boo. Looking forward to this marathon more than i did for London (my first) in 2010.
.... i did Windermere last year, just mind the short steep climb at 7/8 and the killer long steady one from 13.5. (the first half of the course is stunning)
