Advice from this group of experts please. I was hoping for 3:30 at Brighton last week but managed 3:21 much to my delight. I'm now driving myself mad trying to work out what pace to set off at on Sunday for VLM. Never tried 2 marathons in a week before, and the confidence high has worn off as the doubt sets in. I went for a little 2 miler today and felt ok, but taper madness doesn't begin to cover it.

What a perfect day for a marathon. Well done to the organisers and thanks to all the marshals and liquid hander outers. I was delighted with my time, 3:21:49, much better than I expected. Recognised a few names from here on the way round. Brilliant crowds for the third year running.

@sussex runner - I was in my PJs when I posted that too. We must be neighbours.
Got my kit on now, and the butterflies are kicking in.

Hmmm, how much porridge is too much?

Good luck everybody. I'm 5 minutes from Preston Park and the sun is shining!

@ Charlotte : me too!  Will be my third Brighton and first London.  I feel the need for a structured training plan.
