Well done Tricia. Clydestride was a great day. Managed it in a wee bit under 7 hours which beat my estimated time by about half an hour.
My Garmin must have been thrown off by all the twists and turns along the riverside as I only clocked 38 miles instead of 40 but it was a nice surprise to see the finish when I thought I still had about 20 minutes of running ahead of me.
Was apprehensive about stepping up from marathon distance as I though it might scunner me off running if I had a bad day but it was a cracking experience and I'm definitely going to try a few more Ultras in 2015 now.

What you say about Bothwell Castle sounds like a good reason to reccy it, if only for a bit of peace of mind on the day. I don't want any doubt in my mind about where i should be going as 'I'll have plenty else to think about .
