I've just tried to enter the Thorney 10k race today, but find it is full. Is there anyone willing to sell/transfer their place at all? Maybe through injury or illness. If so, please contact me on chrisdavidmartin@btinternet.com Thanks. Chris. |

I live in Peterborough and just recovered from injury lay-off. Would be interested in a place if anyone has any. Thanks, Chris. |

Hi Helen, I've no idea about the age to start running but at 7 all kids are full of energy and can run and run. I'd suggest she keeps it up but providing she eats that bit extra, so as not to lose weight. I entered a fun run in June, where lots of kids ran, and the only thing I noticed was how a lot of them seemed very skinny and underweight. At that age it can be dangerous. Nutrition is just as important as exercise. I know it doesn't really answer your question but I thought I'd give my view. Take care, Chris. |

Hello there, I have recently picked up tendonitis in my left knee. The doctor said rest for 4-6 weeks. Fine! But how do I stop it coming back? He said do dynamic exercises because static streches won't prevent it occuring again. I plan on returning next Wednesday as I prepare for the Great Eastern Run on October 10th but am a little scared that I'll pick it up again. Are dynamic exercises the key? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks, Chris. |
