Shobnall Leisure Centre (registration) is half way along Shobnall Street if you're on google maps Postcode DE14 2BB .

If you're coming down A38, take left signed turn off for Burton. Follow road straight on for nearly 2 miles(over roundabout, lights) till you come to one way system, take right lane & right at lights, left lane & left at lights, right at roundabout keep straight on at next roundabout , turn off for Shobnall Leisure Centre is half a mile on right hand side (signposted).

Hope  this helps.

Hi all

The only course change is instead of finishing on Shobnall Fields, you will finish on the athletic track at Shobnall Leisure Centre (after doing a lap on the track). Start is as previous years from Belvoir Rd -it's a ten minute walk or 5 min jog to start if parking at Shobnall Leisure Centre.

I shall be assisting with the time-keeping, hope you enjoy the race.

I'm 50 next April and was confidently predicting another Good For Age time at FLM and possibly in a sub 3 hour time  ( London Mara falls on my birthday in 2009).

What i didn't factor in is a knee injury. Been off running for nearly 3 months after keyhole surgery for a cartlege tear. Can't see me doing London and will just be happy to get back running.

Hoose, staying injury free at 50 will be the biggest boost !
