A running friend of mine carries a small straw tucked into his watch strap to help with the cup situation, I haven't tried it myself but could be worth a go!
Thanks everyone for the positivity, just what I needed!
I shall trust the plan and push on with the last hard week before tapering.
Thanks Scott for the welcome, my pb is 3:48 from 2013, since then I have run a 3:50 and a 3:55 this year at Brighton, I would love to get under 3:50 again but my times get worse the further I run!
Good luck with the physio.
Thank you! Well done on your pb too 15west, fantastic time!
That is why I wanted to try a 12 week plan as sometimes 18 weeks can seem too long.
That's very true with the 20 milers, I ran 17 today really quite comfortably but instead of thinking, great, 17 miles without too much trouble, I thought the marathon is still another 9 miles, yikes!
You are right, I need to trust the plan, I have run more miles than any previous marathons and feel quite strong just panicking already I think!
