| Well. Did my first run since Saturday due to picking up a niggle in my calf from running in 18 inches of snow. Went on a club 5 mile tempo. Splits were 5.42, 5.59, 6.10, 6.06, 6.01. Quite pleased considering there was a couple of long gradual hills chucked in. Calf seems ok too. Can't afford an injury with 2 weeks to go untill the last cross country fixture of the season with a good chance of promotion for the club. |

| brer,- it was a wise decision to cancel Gloucester Marathon. I ran on part of the course this morning and the roads were terrible. Luckily we were heading off road so only ran about a quarter of a mile along the lane. Today was my slowest run ever I think. Trying to run in snow drifts 2 feet deep across boggy fields isn't easy. Great fun though. Took 2 hours to cover just over 12 miles. |

Peter. I think your description of running Snowdon or any hilly marathon is spot on.
Club tempo run tonight. Hope the snow holds off |

brer. Yeah managed to get out and do just over 8. I'm spoilt for some great runs where I live, right on the edge of the the Cotswolds with some cracking off road runs with plenty of hills to run up and down.
Jason, that's some impressive mileage your clocking up. |

| Hi Mr 2. Is this your first Snod? If so you'll love it. Yeah plenty of time to crank up the miles yet. The good thing about an autumn marathon is that the bulk of your training is done in the summer, as opposed to a spring mararthon , where you got to get out in the dark cold wet ,windy depressing winter. Oh we'll suppose I better get out there and go for a run now. |
