There have been numerous problems for many people over the years with the attitude of Tough Guy. If you dare stand up for yourself he threatens legal action. Don't allow yourself to be bullied by him.
He relies on threatening people & expects them to back down.
He has treated both customers & staff appallingly over many many years. (underpaying foreign staff that took him to a tribunal)
No, I had no problem with Snowdonia. I have run it once in Oct & it was one of my fave marathons.
Yes, Billy Wilson is an arrogant old crook & talks to people like shit on his shoes.
It just isn't organised like any other race. His land, his race, & doesn't care about anyone.
I've done it before. You need some nav skills, but it's a great race.
We got lost as nav not our strong point.....
You won't need much gear for a 35. Just some food & extra water in case you get lost & miss a checkpoint. It was very hot a couple of years ago, so check what the weather is doing.
Have fun everyone....Soak up the atmosphere in that stadium if you've not been before...It's quite emotional!
