I was a five time reject who missed the cut off on the online entry.  I rang the contact number on the website, explained the situation and did a bit of begging.  The lady was very nice and sent me an application form which I filled in and returned.

I got a letter yesterday saying my application had been accepted and I'll get the 'successful' magazine in October.  Big sigh of relief and thanks to the nice people at FLM.  I would have hated to wait another 6 years!

I see the results are on the website which is admirably quick. However, I'm a bit confused about my time. Everyone over an hour seems to have a time of 0.04.... I suppose it serves me right for being so slow!

I've used Tracklogs to upload waypoints. Its a bit of a pain but....
1. create the route in Tracklogs with trackpoints
2. right click on the important trackpoints and add a waypoint
3. Upload the waypoints from the active route to the Garmin (left hand half of the Tracklogs upload screeen)

If you create enough waypoints, you can follow the route quite well in map mode. When your done, do a 'delete all' on the waypoints to clear the GPS.

Great race but particular praise to the organisers and marshalls. Faultless organisation and plenty of encouragement from all concerned all the way round. A real pleasure to run.

Choas, I've not managed to upload routes from Tracklogs into my Forerunner 201, but I have managed to upload the waypoints on routes. This is a brilliant facility as it has stopped my getting lost at least twice on new footpaths. You just head for the next waypoint!
You set the route up in Tracklogs with waypoints and go to the GPS transfer and upload the waypoints. (note there is a limit to the number of waypoints per route).
