Alan I'm a racing snail and have got a time on the web yet blokey whos a racing whippet hasn't got a time. We both wore the chips on the back of the number the same.  Are these new chips susceptible to the rain ????  BTW 3rd time lucky and I ran the whole course today without stopping to walk so I am megga meggga chuffed

We also had chip problems ...My hubby was dead chuffed to knock almost a minute off his previous PB but less chuffed to find that he doesn't appear in the results either!

Otherwise we had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the event. It was brilliantly organised and everyone was so friendly. I just loved all the Oggy, Oggy, Oggys in the tunnel and it was great to see the finish line from so far away it was really motivating. The wind pushing us along really helped too.

The photo's can be found on: www.myfrozenphoto.com

I'm a bit miffed with the full results shown on the website this morning. Everyone with a time of 2.44 plus has been listed as DNF! The chip times on the other website though shows chip times past 3 hours.

I may be a Penguin but I did finish the course in under 3 hours so I'm not happy about being classed as a DNF!!!!!

A huge thanks to the residents of Bradford on this one. The first water station ran out of water so I was very grateful to the kind residents on Cassini Court who were giving out cups of water. Everyone was really friendly. It was also lovely to get so much support when most of the route was countryside with just the odd farm here and there. Even the cows seemed to come out in support too!

Otherwise I agree with the comments here. The water stations could be improved as one ran out and another was set back off the road meaning a slight detour across the pavement. The goody bag was poor with just a bottle of water and advertising material in. It would also have been nice if the medal actually mentioned that it was awarded for completing a half marathon.

The route was very pretty though and the weather was perfect so it took away some of the pain from climbing all those hills!

There is room for improvement but as it's the first half marathon they have done I'm willing to give it another go.

3 Days, 3 Races, over 42 miles!

In January 2008 me and my husband are going to Walt Disney World Florida to take part in 3 races on 3 consecutive days:

 - 5K Fun Run, Donald Duck Half Marathon and Mickey Mouse Marathon

We're raising money for charities which you can help to choose, and we hope you will sponsor us and become "virtual supporters" to cheer us on! Find out more and sponsor us on line at...

...and all because I wanted to complete my first ever marathon before I reached 40!
