Great run - beautiful location, bit slow a first and very tough uphill start to the race. Well organised though and friendly atmosphere. I won't publish my time though - certainly not 47 minutes! |

| Wow - thanks for the comments - some I've done - some I'll look at. Am off to the doctors in the morning to check that side |

Hi, thanks for the responses.
I'm lucozade sporting during the run, but generally not so much pre run. In terms of ice, 2 bags of peas, one for each knee, which helps a bit.
Will try drinking before to see if that helps any |

Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice really. I've been running since July '11 and get out two or three times a week usually running between 5 and 10k ago. I'm going around 5'30" per km which has improved over time from around 6'30". Anyway most of the time I'm tired and achy in my feet, knees, calves and thighs regardless of the amount I put in fast or slow. I make sure I stretch before and after, eat reasonably well and am not overweight. It's a big pain because whilst I love running, i don't enjoy it. Any suggestions welcome. |

| Earlier today I finished my first ever race in 51 mins. I've been running since July last year in an attempt to get fitter following years of smoking and getting bigger! About a lot of hard work and lots of little injuries, I eventually plucked up the courage. Thankfully got through it injury free. Very pleased! |
