Trying to be very, very, sensible 2.1km yesterday, 3.3km today.
Shoes..... So not sure about my Brooks Glycerine 12's feel comfy underfoot but... They feel a bit tight across the top of my feet, and are scarily slippy, I feel as if i'm about to skid and about to go flying with the slightest damp patch.
So.... Not that keen on them, thinking of taking them back and swapping for something else, might just go back to Asics but the nimbus, as I know my other asics had better grip, have to see what else they have at sweatshop.
Getting outside and getting fit is soooo easy compared to gyms etc..
Just strap on a pair of trainers and head outside job done, speed isn't that important just plod along, take as many walk breaks as you need, the biggest problem is going to fast we all do it, when you run you run as if you are doing the 50m dash at school, and by the end you are exhausted, it's not about that it's all about just helping your body to get fitter, so just take it really gently, you really don't get bonus points for getting there quicker at this stage if anything slower is better, just plod along and enjoy yourself. One daft way of checking you are not going to fast is to talk to yourself out loud if you are out of breath mid sentence, then you are going to quick, slow down and relax.
Just remember every other runner you see out there was also a beginner at some point, and we all have or are going through exactly the same as you
