A former junior international, I have been running since I was 11 years old.
I left the sport for many years and then returned in my mid-thirties as part of a plan to lose weight. Six months later (and nearly three stone lighter!) I had caught the bug again and started entering races. I haven't looked back.
Skinny Jim is an alias given to me by my wife. We live in rural Lancashire with our three young daughters.
