I am a: regular recreational runner I have been running for: 3-5 years I run this many times a week: 4-6 times My weekly mileage is about: 21-30 Running club / race organisation: I am a member of a running club I do these types of running: road / pavement, trail / grass / woodland, fell My most important reason for running is: to lose/maintain weight
My three favourite events are: Favourite: Marathon Next Favourite: Trail races Third favourite: Half-marathon I take part in events: 1-11 times a year I also do these sports: Gym (classes), Gym (weight training), Swimming, Walking (hill walking), Walking (power walking/fitness walking)

I have reached my goal in the last year or so in the way of learning to run and loosing weight.
My first run was 5k race for life in July 2006 in honor of my dad who passed away from cancer. I have since run the Victory 5 and the Hampshire Chronicles both 5 mile runs.
I am now aiming to be able to do the Great South run it will be my longest run as its 10 miles and an achivementthat a couple of years ago could not have been reached. Im just hoping my body works with me. I have a running partner which realy helps as I find I am not good at keeping a pace on my own and I run out of energy because of that. We have untill October to get running 16km (10miles). Were up to 10k now so hopefully we will make it.
