I am a: serious competitive athlete I have been running for: Over 10 years I run this many times a week: 4-6 times My weekly mileage is about: 31-50 Running club / race organisation: I am a member of a running club I do these types of running: road / pavement, trail / grass / woodland My most important reason for running is: to be competitive in races
My three favourite events are: Favourite: Half-marathon Next Favourite: 10K Third favourite: 5K I take part in events: 12-24 times a year I also do these sports: Gym (weight training), Walking (hill walking), Walking (power walking/fitness walking)

Been running since I was 8 yrs old (GP suggestion to relieve childhood asthma). Has become totally assimilated into my lifestyle over the years - even though I've been to hell and back with some serious injuries at times. I still race competitively (though I've had a few long bouts of pure recreational running in between) but I do it above all else because I simply love running and I'm also fiercly competitive. Even at the tender age of 54, I still have ambition and belief that I can break that eleusive (so far) 3 hour Marathon barrier.
