My three favourite events are: Favourite: Half-marathon Next Favourite: 10 Mile Third favourite: 10K I take part in events: 12-24 times a year I also do these sports: Gym (classes), Walking (power walking/fitness walking)

I started running in April 2007 because I wanted to do more cardio exercise to try to control my weight. The first race I entered was for charity but only a handful of people entered. After a winter of sporadic training, I decided to enter more races. I now try to do one each calendar month.
On April 26th 2009 I ran the FLM in 4:47 raising Â£2600 for the MS Society. I chose this charity as my uncle is paralysed with MS.
I am now concentrating more on the half marathon and hope to achieve a sub 2 hour soon!
In addition to running, I also teach group exercise classes twice a week.
