Due to arthritis of the spine and right knee which also affects my calf muscles, I now only run up to 10K's (and occasional 10 miler) after having been a 3.22 marathon (London) and 1.13 half marathon (Peterboro') runner in my younger days. These days I can be found starting at the back of races and hopefully working my way through! Still a joy to run despite the pain.
