'MIXTURE OF AUTOBIOGRAPHY, ANECDOTES, ADVICE AND SCHEDULES'
Strengths: Interesting read, with lots of useful advice for runners at all levels. Covers lots of ground (26.2 miles!)and intersperses the coaching/training elements with lots of personal experiences.
Weaknesses: If you are looking for a training "bible" this is probably not it.
Overall: A really enjoyable book, giving a fascinating insight into life at the elite end of the marathon spectrum, but plenty for everyone to enjoy and learn from. Richard has a very easy, readable style and comes across as very modest about his own achievements.
