Strengths: 1)Accurate distance measurement 2)V useful run history to refer back to 3)Elevation and gradient add functionality for biking / skiing etc 4) Easy to set-up and use interval and traning partner functions
Weaknesses: 1)Sometimes looses signal under tree covering 2)Often inacccuracies in maximum and current speeds 3)Mapping function very basic and not that easy to use (although was upgraded on the 301)
Overall: A really great gadget that, although it has a couple of limitations, overall makes running more fun, progression easier to moniotor and motivation easier to find. Now wouldn't manage without a Garmin!
