'Lighter weight light support shoe - good for fast longer races if you are not a 10 stone whippet'
Strengths:
Incredibly comfortable, and offer a decent amount of support and cushioning. Nice and light and dont feel at all clumpy
Weaknesses:
None that I have found
Overall:
Excellent shoe if you want something light for longer races HM and above but feel as though you are too big/heavy for long distances wearing really light shoes (such as Saucony Fastwitch - my fast short distance shoe)

Timex Ironman Triathlon Mega Lap (200) Sleek - T54682

'MORE FEATURES THAN I NEED'
Strengths:
If you like to do lots of interval training and use the countdown features then this watch can really be useful. I like to keep things really simple though so dont get the full potential from this watch. Having a variety of alamrs is great though-one for 'early runs' another for 'normal getting up time' etc etc. The training log is good too as it keeps a weekly log of how many hours you have run for, which is good to keep tabs on hard/easy weeks

[Update 18/10/07] There are also methods where you can link alarms to little notes you can make yourself....whcih is good if you are prone to forgetting stuff!

Weaknesses:
I am a big fan of Timex Watches and dont think this has any major weaknesses.
Overall:
Timex watches are ideal for runners who want something simple and intuitive to use and this is no exception. There are lots of features people could use, but I like the fact it has such a large lap memory, you can have splits from races on there for months.

'EXCELLENT VALUE OFF-ROAD...ROAD GOING SHOE!'
Strengths:
Pretty grippy, tough VIBRAM sole - they look great, good cushioning for sections of road - and the PRICE! I picked a pair up for £25 then bought another pair for £17 from TK MAXX! Memory foam insoles!
Weaknesses:
Difficult to say at the moment - not as grippy as something like a pair of Walshes, but you wouldnt want to run on the road in those. They are quite roomy, which means yor foot could slide around a bit. The poor image is probably the worst thing
Overall:
A good value pair of off-road rd shoes. Most people will have to run on roads at some point on an off road run (well i do) so a 'hybrid' shoe is ideal. And for the money these are probably unbeatable! If they had a salomon logo you would happily pay £75. If you see a pair of these...give them a go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
