Strengths: Right ratio of protein and carbs to refuel after a hard run. Easy to mix and very tasty.
Weaknesses: Banana flavour is disgusting. Strawberry is my favourite.
Overall: Iam not an elite athlete so how much effect it has on my metabolism is questionable. It does however give me piece of mind that I am replenishing glycogen within the magic 20 minutes after a run. I do seem to feel better the next day after a long run now. Part of my marathon build up.
Strengths: Easy to swallow. They are isotonic so no worry's about taking the right amount of water. Convenient Belt Carrying system No strong Taste/after taste.
Weaknesses: The texture can take some getting used to but they di 'flow' better than other sticky gels.
Overall: They have transformed how I approach long runs and marathons. They take about 10 minutes to kick in byt have a noticeable effect. One evry three miles in marathon gives your muscles a steady drip of energy. The theory of hitting the wall does not exist with these.
Strengths: Comfort straight from the box. They look good too!
Weaknesses: My feet tend to get very hot in them on a long run
Overall: As I have flat feet, I always assumed I needed MC shoes. My footscan at the expo lined me up with these. As they gave me the trainers for free for demoing them on stage, I can't really complain can I?!
