Strengths: You could bounce off the ceiling and your baps would stay put. Very comfortable, every place which could rub or dig in is padded and backed with fluffy stuff. Moulded cups mean it's invisible through your shirt. Racer back friendly. Attractive design.
Weaknesses: Like most sports bras, it's a rigmarole to get on and off. The fastenings are on the back which I usually don't like, but the strap behind them is padded so they don't dig in as some do when you lie on your back. The underwires may get in the way of a HRM strap.
Overall: What a contraption! I was not convinced at first by the underwires, but this is very good, the wires are encased in a fluffy padding type stuff which makes it supremely comfortable. This design has been very well thought out and the wires, indeed the whole bra, stays put with no need to adjust, no riding up and no fidgeting. It's nice enough to wear as a top, but I never do the 'midriff'! This is probably the most supporting and bounce-free bra I have.
Strengths: Nice refreshing flavour. Not overly sweet. Prevents dehydration better than water alone which can help you get a better workout or improved performance. Has the advantage of being able to mix it to your preferred dilution as some of the ready mixed ones are rather strong for my taste. I also prefer to drink from my favourite water bottles! Good value compared with individual drinks.
Weaknesses: Contains sweeteners which have a sketchy reputation.
Overall: I would not consume large quantities of this on a regular basis due to the possible dangers of the sweeteners in it, but it is a very enjoyable drink, really refreshing and definitely tackles the hydration and energy issue during a harder workout. I don't see the harm in moderate consumption.
Strengths: Easy to use, comfortable strap, very motivating to add up the miles each week, very accurate, does not suffer from 'cross talk' from other HRMs in the gym as it's 'coded' against interference, best of all it can be used on the treadmill which, in my opinion, is a significant advantage over GPS based systems. Also great for cross-training as the heart monitor can be used without the footpod, and as a stand-alone unit is considerably smaller than a GPS watch. Does not suffer any loss of capability in built-up areas or woodland. Less bulky than GPS. Excellent build-quality, they seem to last very well and I am yet to meet a user who has had to have theirs repaired.
Weaknesses: Although it is possible to upload the data to a computer, I have found it doesn't work with the equipment I have at present. I could get it working without too much trouble, but as the watch saves all the data I need, I have never felt the need for this function. It would be great to have a 'virtual partner' function such as found on some of the Garmin units, but this is really a luxury I can live without.
Overall: Although the GPS systems are 'all the rage' and are indeed a very appealing technology, for me this footpod running computer from Polar is more than I need and has the added advantage of allowing some of my weekly mileage to be clocked on the treadmill- a real advantage in bad weather! I also like to keep track of my other cardio workouts such as spin classes and the like, so this unit has the added advantage of being ideal for this. If you cross-train or run some of your miles on a treadmill, this could be the HRM for you.
Strengths: Incredible bounce control and support. Very comfortable. Never feels hot or wet as it wicks moisture and breathes. Doesn't ride up or move around so you never need to fidget with it. Side openings ideal as there are no back fasteners to dig into your back during crunches etc.
Weaknesses: None. If you pay full price for one a little expensive, but no more so than other branded bras.
Overall: Get one! Your bosoms will thank you for it. Even those blessed with an ample pair will feel total freedom whilst wearing it. There's not bouncing, no re-adjusting it. If I could afford it, I'd buy 5 more!
Strengths: Not having rear fasteners that dig into your back during any floor work is a huge benefit. Great looking, never feels hot or wet and never rubs. Offers just about enough support for a medium-sized pair of breasts if running, and plenty of support for other activities. Very nice sporty look.
Weaknesses: Would need slightly more support for running/jumping if larger chested. Side fasteners, although excellent, can sometimes be fiddly when the bra is new. If you have even a small amount of fat on your upper back, the bra may cause a slight bulge over the racer back.
Overall: An excellent all-rounder which is extremely comfortable to wear. This is their 'level 2' support model, so well-endowed women will need a 'level 3' for running and other high-impact activities such as jumping etc. I find this adequate for light jogging and cycling, but wear a 'level 3' for boxing and running.
