'Fantastic grip in a shoe that feels like a slipper when you are running'
Strengths: Light weight Great grip Twirly laces - I'm guessing they won't come undone easily
Weaknesses: Mine are orange and black, which is a bit too "stand out from the crowd" for me They take ages to dry out
Overall: I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I've used these shoes for the Turbo X at Borden, the Grim 8, a couple of other very muddy trail races, and for a few training runs in the snow over Christmas and New Year. They are unbelievably stable in all of these conditions, and I have been especially surprised at how secure I have felt running on the snow. They are a very tight fit for me widthways, which is a bit uncomfortable when just standing around in them, but they seem to almost disappear when I start running and give me no discomfort whatsoever. I would definitely buy the same shoes again, although I wear Asics Kayanos as road shoes and I will probably try a pair of the Asics Trabuco trail shoes next. Overall, a great shoe for me, though perhaps people with a wide foot might find them uncomfortably tight.
