I use it for running and mountain biking. I have owned this for just over 8 months and it has not let me down. I would be lost without it!
A bit like the iPod, the real winner with the 405 is the user interface. The watch itself is simple to use, with the tap and scroll bezel allowing you to easily move through the menus as required. The supplied Garmin Training Centre software is excellent, but the real ace in the pack is the Garmin Connect website allowing you to upload your workout data, and track your performance.
I can not recommend this product highly enough. If you are thinking about buying it ... just buy it!
