'NICE COMFOTABLE AND RESPONSIVE - BUT POOR MIDSOLE TREAD'
Strengths:
Good fitting and resposive and yet supportive. Gives you a good feel for the road.
Weaknesses:
Midsole tread is poor and very quick wearing. May not be an issue for heel strickers or real forefoot runners. As a midfoot runner I went through this pretty quickly.
Overall:
I liked this shoe although I'm not sure how many miles I'll get out of it. The sole is quicker wearing than I'm used to but the ride is very nice, light and responsive. Not an out and out speed shoe and can be worn for all training runs.

Feet in the Clouds: A Tale of Fell-Running and Obsession by Richard Askwith

'STILL NOT FINISHED IT.....'
Strengths:
An insight and potted history into a little known area of running
Weaknesses:
I've found it incredably dull so far. I sometimes think is it me? As others rave about it
Overall:
Still only 1/2 way through although I've found it a great cure for insomnia.

Lore Of Running by Timothy Noakes

'VERY IN DEPTH, A LOT OF SCIENCE BUT ULTIMATELY WORTH IT.'
Strengths:
Everything about everything...You too can start following threads in training and not feel out your depth ;~)
Weaknesses:
Very tough going but worth it. I've marked down the readability because of this but it's not poorly written.
Overall:
Not a book for those just starting unless you really, really want to know about how muscles are built up etc. But I'd say a must for anyone who spends a lot of their time running.
