Strengths: A good grip, I tend to run up and down hills a lot and I feel very secure wearing these shoes even through muddy areas. They look good. Very comfy to wear.
Weaknesses: Erm? None as I've found.
Overall: I like the Ascend a lot. I'm a heavy runner and I like a lot of cushioning and support. These shoes give me that. I do most of my running on trails and parkland roads and the changes from the softer trail surface to that of tarmac doesn't come as a shock because of the good cushioning. I agree whole-heartedly with RW's short review except that I'd say the Ascend is a trail shoe that performs well on road. Well done Mizuno.
