Strengths: Great motivational tool to measure improvements in speed and to monitor distance covered
Weaknesses: Loss of signal can be very annoying during interval training
Overall: Before the Garmin I used to rely on a HRM to monitor progress but didn't really find it helped with the motivation. Now I know exactly how far I have gone and at what pace it does make me want to go out more. And it helped me get my dad up and running from a non runner.
