'RAN THE HARDEST TRAIL MARATHON IN THE WORLD IN THEM'
Strengths:
Light, strong comfort and supportive enough for me on my long on road marathon training.
Weaknesses:
not found any
Overall:
For the neutral runner running over 40 miles per week these are the shoes. As your main on road training shoes perfect additionally can be used as race shoes including upto ultra road races.

Garmin Forerunner 201

'FOR OVER 2 YEARS 201 HAS BEEN MY ESSENTIAL TG PARTENER'
Strengths:
The ability to analyse race and hard training performance eg where in races your pace drops. In my case not on the uphills but on the long flat streches. Accurate, readable and a great training tool. Over 2 years use the 201 has been my main training partener. The software allows all runs and walks to be to reviewed and stored in a detailed diary.
Weaknesses:
Loss of signal in dense woods and built up areas is the only major problem I have encountered. However, I have just discovered while it provide the correct unit display in the Southern Hemisphere it did not provide the speed and hill graphs when down loaded to the computer from my runs in the pacific.
Overall:
I have found the 201 a major trainning aid. As most of my training is off road I had in the past over estimated many of my runs and the 201 has allowed me to rationalise my training in a more disciplined manner. The 201 unit appears to be bulky but in fact weighs less than many watches. The software provided is easy to operate and use. This is not just a "boys toy" but an extremly usefull training aid to any distance runner.
