No illusions - the "coach" part of my name doesn't reflect any aspirations or qualifications, it's just that a friend wanted to know what one of my initials stood for, and rather than reveal a name I never use I jokingly replied "Coach". The name has stuck ever since.
I started running in 2002, trained for (and completed) some local races, lost 2 stones in weight, and have never looked back since.
Currently I'm injured and unable to walk very far (let alone run), but I'm determined to recover and get back to what I really enjoy - a run on the North York Moors, or in the Yorkshire Dales ...... and usually returning covered in mud! Must get some shares in a washing-powder company sometime.
