I only took up running in december 2003 and entered the London marathon as an incentive. My preparation did not go well and I did just one run in the 4 weeks before the marathon. I was 2 stone over weight, got very drunk 3 days before the marathon and smoked a pack of fags the night before it. Never again! I did it is under 6 hours but I decided to join Runners world online and get busy running. So far so good!
