| | started running 1985 age 48,had lots of success,winning age group prizes in the marathon, including London 1992/1993(2nd)1994 (1st)Okehampton marathon & 1/2marathon,Ross Shield Devon,Westward League X country,Great west run, Fleet 1/2 mar. Hastings 1/2 mar, and many more best London times 2 hours 40mins & 2hours 45mins,it all ended 1997 after I had a cartilage opp on my knee. started running again 2 weeks ago, fingers crossed alls going well,I will be taking it steady for the next few weeks then probably look for a 10K,I used to train 142 miles a week, now its 20 miles spread over five days, all easy running 8 min mile pace, |
