I have run on and off all my life. I used to run to improve my performance in other sports and periodically entered races. I am pretty competitive and as a result have run a marathon in 2:44 and a half marathon in 75:30. Have continued to play at it in recent years and have completed 8 in an average of 3:21 but none all that fast. My life now allows me the time to commit properly this year and I am aiming to run sub 3:15 (GFA)in Spring 2013. That will allow me to run VLm in 2014 which, hopefully, will co-incide with my 50th birthday.
