I am a: regular recreational runner I have been running for: Over 10 years I run this many times a week: 4-6 times My weekly mileage is about: 20 or less I do these types of running: road / pavement, trail / grass / woodland, treadmill My most important reason for running is: to get/stay in shape
My three favourite events are: Favourite: Half-marathon Next Favourite: 10 Mile Third favourite: 10K I take part in events: 1-11 times a year I also do these sports: Gym (classes), Gym (weight training), Swimming, Walking (hill walking)

I actually ran my first ever race by running the Great North Run this September and it was an amazimng experience, even if the crowds made it impossible to achieve the time I wanted. However, I have now decided that entering into the odd race is fun and am going to run the Great Cumbrial Run in October. Also, after being a more or less solitary runner for years I trained with people for the Great North Run and enjoyed it and feel it has improved my running and committment to running.
