More about me
Aged 50 or is it more? Im past caring. I''m not having a mid-life crisis so just pass me that axe. I was fitter at age 48 than I was at 38 having collected pbs at all distances from 5k to 50k in 2007-8. Don''t let anyone tell you that marathons are fun, they aren''t. They take months of training, lots of focus, they hurt and sometimes they dont go to plan. So why are loads of us obsessed? Because we can do it, thats why. Next on the list was learning how to swim because I wouldn''t get to do a whole triathlon if I was still by the waters edge. First Iron Distance tri and Pirate initiation Sunday 8th September 2013. My new motto "To Complete, not Compete". Next = Ironman Wales 2015. Done that. Tough but fun. Latest? Bike crash and head damage = not fun. Target of FUN remains my aim.
