 More about me
I am in the position to beable to judge my fitness every Tuesday evening against a previous British and European vet45 champion and also (when he shows up)a current vet60 World and European Duathlon Champion. The European Champion named Ron Elliot set a remarkable time of just under 69mins for the Lake Vurnwy Half Marathon when he was 48yrs old. He is now approaching 64 and I still find difficulty in staying with him. Mr David Gardner is 67 and thankfully i can runalongside him.He just recently won the World Long course Duathlon title in Austrailia and holds the current European title aswell. Thankfully both men are very modest in their achievements and to watch Ron run is an honour. At the moment I will be training for my 11th Snowdonia Marathon so I gauge my fitness against how well I can stay close to Mr Elliot. At the moment he is way infront unlike two years ago when i was on his shoulder. Lets hope the distance training can improve my fitness ?
