Now a pentagenerian coffin-dodger.
Wirral AC member for last 5 years, unattached prior to that.
1st year of club membership saw lots of PBs set (highlight: 36:31 for 10K). Then sciatic issues, followed by calf injuries when, in response, I tried to change my (carp) running style, took their toll, got a lot slower.
Mini-revival from autumn 2008 thru early 2009 (37:51 10K, 84:51 half-mara) the result of uninterrupted training due to slightly improved technique, stretching & regular sports massage.
Steep decline from spring 2009.....not yet reversed, but still trying...
