 More about me
My running has been off and on over the last few years, but after several attempts I have finally gotten a place in London marathon. Hoping to break 5.00 and raise some money for Macmillan, who are a charity very close to my heart. Fingers crossed that with the marathon training I can also get back to about 50 minutes for 10k, and 2 hours for a half - I have some annoying PBs, like 50.17 for 10k - the 50 minute barrier needs to be broken! But the marathon training now takes priority. Until recently I worked for Sweatshop - an expensive place for me to work, given my tendency to accumulate running shoes...! Have just started working in the industry again, part-time, for the Jog Shop in Brighton. UPDATE Goodness this profile is old. 5 hours broken for marathon at the second (completed)/third (started) attempt. 50 min 10k not broken - a goal for 2013, to be pursued after getting the sub 2 hour half and sub 25 min 5k. I no longer work for the Jog Shop but Sam (the owner) is a great guy and a real runner's runner (or a jogger's runner, whatever the difference is to the more pernickety) so I still pop in there from time to time (have been known to finish a run or two there!)
