Started running in Aug03 and did first race a 10k in Sep03 in 53mins. ReadingHM2004 in 1:28. Sat on the injury bench from Mar 2004 to end of Dec2004 due to lower back problems - forced me to defer my FLM place to 2005. Oh well...
Now, have turned over the page and decided to step up to the next gear. Have done FLM05. Only did 8weeks of training with 135miles of total runs meant that at Mile9 by right calf got strained. Still v. pleased with 3hr42m.
Did Cardiff Mara on 9Oct05 at 83%MHR in 3hr20m :-)
Did Wokingham HM on 12Feb06 at 83%MHR in 1hr28m :-)
Did Rotterdam Mara. on 9Apr06 in 3:16. Had to walk for 10minutes due to extreme dehydration. If only I drank more in the first half & not tripped over :-(
June2006 - Dr Romanov thought I was good enough runner and teacher that he has made me into a Pose Coach to teach Pose Method of Running to others (www.posetech.com).
