I started in my late 30's and have been running for over 8 Years now. I started training for the Bristol Half (September 2003), in late 2002 and have taken part in other half marathons, including the Great North Run and many shorter road races since. My race times have steadily got better since I have been training with My Club: "Bitton Road Runners". I have been lucky enough to run the FLM four times in a row 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 and this year was my second time of achieving my original my goal of running it in under 4 hours...
I managed to get a PB of 3hours 50mins in all that heat! Can't wait for next year for the all new VLM!
