I am a: regular recreational runner I have been running for: 5-10 years I run this many times a week: 1-3 times My weekly mileage is about: 20 or less I do these types of running: road / pavement, trail / grass / woodland, treadmill My most important reason for running is: to get/stay in shape
My three favourite events are: Favourite: 10K Next Favourite: Half-marathon Third favourite: Cross-country I take part in events: 1-11 times a year I also do these sports: Gym (weight training), Walking (hill walking)

I took up running in 1998 to get in shape. I couldn't run 1/2 a block! To date I've done two half Marathons, six 10k races and an 8 mile cross country. In 2001 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Athritis and had to battle my way back from ground zero, but here I am! I now run because I can!!
